Netflix is a cool service and all but CEO Reed Hastings really knows how to screw up a free lunch. First he tells us The company will be splitting into two different companies then he says he was just kidding. No one thought it was funny.

Another idea that a lot of people thought would be great was a video game rental service to compete with Gamefly that was announced around the same time. Unfortunately Hastings spoke in a Q4 investor meeting today saying the company has no plans to offer video games right now.

Netflix is looking into 3D streaming options though which should be interesting. The pixilation will pop right off the screen!
