As many of you out there are jumping for joy after hearing the title of the sequel to Captain America, it seems that there is something else for people to jump for joy about. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony Mackie is in negotiations to play Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon. Yes, you heard me right! Falcon will be in the upcoming film Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Keep in mind that this is the first time that another super hero has been paired up with a main character in a Marvel movie, outside of The Avengers. It seems that Marvel won’t be worrying about getting any of his former castmates back as they can definitely jump in with new characters to expand that Cinematic Marvel Universe.

In further Captain America news, it seems that Sebastian Stan, who played Bucky in the original film, will be reprising his role in the upcoming sequel. You know that when Marvel signs up actors for their films, they tend to sign multiple film deals so they can open up their universe and bring familiar faces back. Stan is one of those actors.

Now, you had to figure that the whole Winter Soldier and Bucky thing had to come up when they signed his initial deal and to be a main character in the sequel was probably a main factor. While many people complained about the first film, I loved it; I think the sequel is shaping up to be one of the best yet. Now, we just have to wait a little under two years for the final product. Ugh, time is a pain.
