Even though May seemed so long ago, Marvel has released the details about The Avengers DVD/Blu-ray pack. Normally, I never buy the big combo packs, but this will be one movie that I will buy that over-sized, over-priced combo pack because I loved the movie that much. With that being said, Marvel has never been a studio that cheapens its released with little-to-no extras and The Avengers is no difference.
One of the major benefits of the film will be the audio commentary by Joss Whedon. I am very curious to hear his thoughts and decisions when making this movie, not to mention that Whedon is always entertaining to listen to. Of course, you will get the Marvel One-Shot: Item 47, which has been talked about at Comic-Con.
There is a Gag Reel, which should be pretty damn hilarious especially when you have the likes of Chris Helmsworth, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the cast. That should make for a good time, as well as the thirty minutes of deleted scenes that we will get to see. It includes an alternate opening/closing featuring Maria Hill and the possible reunion of Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. I am so hyped for this release and will still have to wait until September 25th for it.
