It is hard to believe that it has been three years since the death of Wolverine in Marvel Comics. For months, Marvel has teased a major hero will return. The time has arrived. A major Marvel hero will return this week. It has only been six months since his death in the film universe. However, it seems that may be changing. Before, we jump into this, I have to lay out a spoiler alert. Even though the news was released, it would be fair just to remind you.
It will be revealed in the pages of Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic’s Marvel Legacy #1, Wolverine himself will be coming back from the dead.
In case you haven’t been following Marvel since his Death of Wolverine series, it has not had a version of Wolverine. After his death, X-23 remade herself to take over his mantle. She became the all-new Wolverine and there is still Old Man Logan.
Sadly, someone will have to go. Now, Marvel has been saying that there is room for everyone. Translation: we fucked up and are bringing back the characters you loved but will mix them with the new versions. However, when you have Old Man Logan and Logan Prime, how is that going to work?
We will find out more about the return of Logan when Marvel Legacy #1 hits shelves. The comic will drop this Wednesday. On a side note, we all know comic characters very rarely stay dead. Yet, I have to admit that I am excited to see him back.
