When Apple Music launched a long time ago, its been hard to know if it has been a success or not. However, judging by the quietly released yearly subscription fee, you could say that it is successful. TechCrunch is reporting that Apple is currently offering a $99 annual subscription plan. So quiet was this release that Apple said they released this option a few months ago.

Keep in mind that the service is $9.99 a month or $99 for a whole year. Knowing that you didn’t come to this blog to do math, the yearly subscription will save you about $20 a year. There are some issues with getting this option. If you are new to Apple Music, you cannot sign up for that plan from the onset. If you are a current subscriber, you can click under hundreds of options to locate the plan.

Music app > For You > Account (top right) > View Apple ID > Subscriptions > Apple Music Membership and clicking on the $99 option.

Now, before many of you take to your tweet to say that you could purchase the $99 Apple Music gift card, we know that. However, this is the first time that you can use the app to get that offer. They don’t make it easy but when does Apple ever do?
