As has been rumored for some time now, Apple will be holding their next big event on September 12th. This is the event that is expected to reveal the next iPhone, as well as updates to the Apple Watch, Apple TV and iOS software. This is expected to be the reveal of the new $1000 iPhone but that will remain to be seen.
Rumors have Apple to announce three new iPhones at the event: a next-generation iPhone 8 model with an edge-to-edge OLED display and a new 3D face-scanning camera, according to earlier reports in Bloomberg; and updated versions of the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with wireless charging. Additionally, the company is rumored to have a new 4K Apple TV in the works, along with Apple Watches that could feature LTE connectivity.
The invite does not reveal much as to simply say, “Let’s meet at our place.” The event will be taking place at the new Steve Jobs Theater on its new Apple Park campus in Cupertino.
It is surprising of the time, as the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will launch on the 15th. Some have speculated that it was designed to give potential buyers to see what Apple has to offer before a decision is made.
That aspect would have been normal had it been the main Galaxy line. With it being the launch of the Note line, the rumors are more unfounded. Many people that are using or will be using the Note line would not enjoy the smaller iPhone. Let’s see what Apple will have to offer on September 12th.
