Last year, EA was announced to be one of the developers bringing games to Nintendo’s new Switch. For those of you that were hoping to see Mass Effect: Andromeda on the latest Nintendo console, you will be seriously disappointed.

GameSpot is reporting that BioWare has no plans to bring the game to the console, which shouldn’t really surprise anyone given that they were a major developer for the Wii but that did not amount to much. However, if you really want it they may just consider it.

“Yeah, not right now, no,” Producer Mike Gamble said about a Switch version of Andromeda. “We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.”

Yes, Mass Effect 3 was released for the Wii U but that did not guarantee that the launch of their next major series would include the Switch. Currently, Mass Affect: Andromeda is slated for release in the spring of this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Gamble did mention that they will discuss the PS4 Pro enhancements for the game “in January or February.” As for the Nintendo Switch, we will have to wait until January 12th for the announcement of some key stuff like price, specs and launch lineup.
