No matter what company makes a device, adapter or console normally they develop a slimmer one after some time. Last year, Microsoft release an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows PC so you could game using an Xbox One controller wirelessly. However, the old adapter was a bit of a brick and not very easy to hide. That changes today.
Microsoft announced a new slimmed down version of the adapter. It’s 66 percent smaller than the previous adapter. Basically, it looks like a traditional USB stick but still protrudes out a bit more than a wireless mouse adapter. Like before, it supports up to eight controllers, four chat headsets and two stereo headsets.
The price remains at $24.99 and is available for pre-order today. It will be released into the wild on August 8, 2017. It works with PCs running Windows 10 and with an Xbox One controller. However, there appears to be some issue with it running on Windows 7 and it does not support Xbox 360 controllers.
