If you are a fan of Rhianna Pratchett, then you know her work. Most recently, she was the lead writer behind Crystal Dynamics rebooting of the Tomb Raider series. However, it seems that she has sparked Lara Croft on her last adventure with Rise of Tomb Raider. She made the announcement, as people do, on her Twitter account.

She had been with the franchise for five years, but her resume goes back as far as 2004. She was the story editor on Beyond Divinity, writer for Mirror’s Edge and Prince of Persia, as well as an additional writer for BioShock Infinite.

“I like to think we did some good things,” she wrote. “Maybe shifted the landscape a wee bit. And that feels damn good.” She took Lara from a piece of eye candy and turned her into a female Nathan Drake, which rebooted the franchise and brought Croft to the masses as a true hero.

Pratchett is on to some unknown projects and as far as Lara goes, we do not know. There has been a title churning around the internet – Shadow of the Tomb Raider – but take that with a grain of salt. Lara will not be the same without Pratchett. Major shows to fill.
