The more we see about the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2, the more we realize that this was the game we should have received in the first place. With Gamescom going on right now, it was a forgone conclusion that we would see more game trailers for the upcoming game.
The trailer begins with our traditional X and Y-Wing fighters attacking a Star Destroyer and then moving back to Darth Maul protecting Kamino and the Trade Federation. It would appear that they are bringing all ships from the series and making them playable set pieces.
Matt Webster, the general manager of Criterion Games, claims that all ships will handle the same, which will allow one to perfect their skills and apply them to all ships. Thus making it easier to pilot the ships and not have to learn different tricks for different ships.
Shown was the Starfighter Assault mode that was previewed at E3 and is set to be part of the game’s single-player campaign, as well as multiplayer ground-assault. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will launch on November 17th on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. EA will offer a beta of the game on October 4th to the 9th.
