Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Will Be Released This Fall

Back in December of 2014, Kotaku had reported that the upcoming 2015 installment of the Assassin’s Creed series would take it to Victorian London. Since then, we haven’t heard much about the game until this past week from Polygon.

On Friday, the site managed to obtain marketing material for the game that will be called Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. The game is set to be officially announced on Tuesday, May 12th, for release this upcoming holiday season.

According to the marketing material, the game is stated to “transport millions of gamers to an astonishing recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution where they will find themselves immersed in a game world they’ll have to see to believe.”

The game is moving away from the formation of the United States and Italy, and will focus on a assassin named Jacob Frye. Anyone that manages to pre-order the game from GameStop, will receive a shilling necklace that is designed to be a replica of the one worn by the main character.

Ubisoft’s official announcement of the title will be at 5 pm UK time, which will make it 12pm ET and 9 am PT, during the livestream event.

After the disaster of the Assassin’s Creed Unity release last year, it seems that Ubisoft was not deterred from releasing a new title every year to combat the Call of Duty and Battlefield models. However, the glitches and weak stories from both Battlefield and Assassin’s Creed titles will force Ubisoft to up their game in the upcoming release.
