When DC Universe kicked off their streaming service with Titans last year, it debuted with some mixed reviews in the beginning. If some of you fell off the series in the beginning, according to most people, the show got better as it went along. At the end of season one, everyone got a glimpse of the Dark Knight in the finale. Would that indicate that Bruce Wayne would appear in season two of Titans?
According to Deadline, we will be seeing Bruce Wayne, at least. Scottish actor, Iain Glen, has accepted a recurring role on the series for season two. Glen is best known for his eight season run on the HBO series Game of Thrones. His face is also familiar to fans of Downton Abbey and the Resident Evil franchise, while in other feature films like The Iron Lady, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Kick Ass 2, and My Cousin Rachel.
It is unknown whether we’ll actually see Bruce Wayne as Batman, but the official character synopsis gives us some idea of what to expect. It reads: “After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
Since the focus will be on the Titans team, we could see him more in an Oracle approach. Working from the Batcave to give some assistance. The biggest issue with introducing Batman in a series like this, is people will expect to involve Batman being… well, Batman.
Season two is expected to be a big season with Super Boy and Deathstroke joining the cast. I will have to finish up the first season to see how everything works out in season two.
