After months of waiting, we finally have the word. NBC has never been very nice to the fans of their series Community. They have announced twice now that they have renewed and production has begun on their series but never announced when the episode will actually make it to air. About a month into the new fall season, it seems that the New Year will bring back the gang from Greendale.
On January 2nd, Community will be returning with its fourth season. This season, as reports indicated, without Chevy Chase but with Dan Harmon running the show. NBC has already cancelled its first series, Welcome to the Family, but we will have to wait less than three months for them to return.
However, they will be returning to their old Thursday night at 8pm timeslot, which is a sour spot given that it is usually dominated by CBS’ The Big Bang Theory. Every show that NBC tries to put there always does worse, which has been the problem with their series Parks and Recreation.
Although, with Community slated to return, it seems that it will shift Parks to the 8:30pm time slot. Now, there have been some indication that this will be the final season of Community, especially since Donald Glover is leaving and reports that Harmon was brought back to end the show his way. It could be anyone’s guess if it will return for a fifth season.
