For all you people that have been hounding EA and BioWare to fix the glitch of getting the “Face Patch” that will allow your stylized Commander Shepard face loaded from the original game, you got your wish a week or so ago. However, if you are running it on an Xbox 360, you are not doubt suffering from another issue… crashing.
The main issue is when the game tries to contact the EA servers it leaves the game in a continuous load cycle, according to Digital Spy. Eurogamer is reporting that some players have been able to clear the issue by loading an offline game and clearing the cache or swapping discs.
BioWare is aware of the issue and is asking for your help in their investigation. BioWare’s Chris Priestly claims that the patches are “heavily tested” before they are sent out to the public. “If a patch fails during testing, it is sent back, fixed again and retested until it passes. Then it is released to gamers. Until we know that the patch has passed certification testing, I don’t want to give even a rough idea of the date, to prevent disappointment should it need further testing.”
There has been much ado about nothing in the press about BioWare’s issues regarding Mass Effect 3. Between protests over the games ending and right-wing groups complaining about their openly gay and lesbian characters, they still manages to sell 3.5 million copies in their first week. We will let you know when a patch is released.
