A Father's Love

Having grown up in the late seventies, early eighties, I never heard about this one. Gary Plauche is a name that many people hear about through social media, especially around Father’s Day. There is this kind of sickening glee that people relish due to this father’s act of vigilante justice. Now, don’t get me wrong, I would’ve done the same thing, but does that make me a hero? Or, am I just another victim of a criminal act that hurt many people? “A Father’s Love” goes into that discussion.

In 1984, Gary Plauche murdered the man that was accused of sexually assaulting his child. An act that had been going on for a while. The man worked his way into Plauche’s family and groomed the boy into being his sexual partner, which led to being kidnapped.

The reason this comes up often is because Plauche’s criminal act was caught on live television. When the suspect was being brought back, Plauche laid-in-wait and shot him once in the head while the cameras were rolling.

This is that story of a Father’s Love.

This is the final teaser episode before the new series begins on January 17, 2024. The three episodes released were designed to show the range of topics we would be discussing on this show. The first episode of the upcoming first season will focus on the 30 anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake that I personally experienced. The epicenter was about a twenty minute drive from my house at the time.

Until then, we hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If you would like to help me out getting my internet back up, you can donate through PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App. All the donations will go to help make the show self-sustaining. We will see you back in the new year, and be sure to check out my other podcast, Great American Shit Show.

Until next time…
