Trailer: Deadpool and Wolverine

After the teaser trailer release of Deadpool and Wolverine, we were teased with the silhouette and the “snik” sound Wolverine. All of which lead fans a little disappointed. What people want versus what Marvel will allow to show are vastly different concepts. This morning, we were graced with the Wolverine angle of the film. And it looks glorious.

As been told in earlier reports, this version of Wolverine will not be the one from the Fox franchise. We catch a quick line that he failed to save his Earth. On a side note, loved the nod to his first appearance in Bryan Singer’s 2000 X-Men at the bar. This is the kind of shit I love to see.

This is obviously a redemption story for Wolverine. Very similar to what Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker experienced in Spider-Man: No Way Home.  I am so here for it.

Deadpool and Wolverine trailer is what I wanted

This is touted as the first Marvel movie that will not only allow “f-bombs” but will be rated R. As a fan of the first two, it was a concern that they would clean it up to make a PG-13 rating. However, the recut of Deadpool 2, a la The Princess Bribe, showed that a PG-13 version of the movie could work.

It is comforting to know that Kevin Feige knew what they had and left it the way it was. When he spoke to the attendees at CinemaCon, “It’s fucking awesome,” Feige told the crowd.

Have to admit, this is the first Marvel movie since Spider-Man: No Way Home that I am anxious to see in theaters. As many people online argue that Marvel is done, this will bring them all back exclaiming that “Marvel is back”. That is until they reveal a new movie that has either a person of color or a female (or worse: a female that is a person of color) as the lead.
