As we get closer and closer to the Nintendo Wii U release date, we are finally getting some information as to what we can expect from playing games on the Wii U console. BioWare finally told people what to expect when you decide to play Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U. That is taking into account that you didn’t purchase the game earlier this year on another console.
According to External Producer for Mass Effect 3, Melanie Faulknor, the game is designed to take full advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad that “you can control your squadmates, utilize (sic) both Shepard and your squad’s abilities, and even play Mass Effect 3 all from the GamePad.” However, that last point isn’t exclusive to the game, according to CVG.
In regards to what it will include will be “From Ashes” and “Extended Cut” DLC, as well as the Rebellion, Resurgence and Earth multiplayer packs, and a bonus heavy weapon.
An update of the interactive comic, Genesis, will be included to allow those that haven’t played the game, or bought the trilogy pack on other consoles, the ability to catch up. To me, the excitement of the Wii U seems to be a bit more hype than substance. So far, no one has been able to show me just why the system will be cool. I smell a GameCube all over again.
