As promised, Zack Snyder’s Justice League trailer dropped on Sunday morning. If you felt that we’ve seen enough trailers for a movie that is being recut, you would technically be wrong. There have been tons of clips and teasers. Not that this one is anything more than a real teaser. Snyder manages to show us more about what’s going on and how all the clips were not used in the theatrical version.
Judging by the DC fandom and various sites, many have high hopes for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Most of whom have forgotten how much many in the fandom wanted Snyder off all DC projects after the disastrous releases of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. When Joss Whedon created what was DC’s version of a Marvel movie, people wanted to see the potential cut.
Now, don’t take this the wrong way, but it will be bloated and full of hardcore DC fan service that all the other installments were. Yet, seeing how the fandom believe that this will somehow be the pinnacle of excellence that DC fanboys have been waiting for. They simply forget that more than a year before, everyone was happy Snyder was off the project.
This won’t be any better
The fandom likes to believe that DC is hated by Hollywood and Disney. That isn’t true. Marvel has done so much with their films in a dozen years, they truly don’t care. This conspiracy theory that Marvel pays for reviews, and hops DC fails, is as obscured as thinking that Snyder’s cut of the movie will somehow restore the public consciousness of Snyder and DC films.
For one, I will be watching Zack Snyder’s Justice League during that weekend. However, it won’t bring back any luster for the director and the film. Simply because it’s full of fanboy references and inaccessible to wide audiences. Which is why Marvel movies do so much better.
