With the announcement that The Lazy Geeks is returning, there hasn’t been much movement on the blog or podcasts. Shortly before the announcement, I released the first episode of The Gen-Xer Pod second season. I am currently working on the second episode, as well as planning the first episode of The Lazy Geeks. Don’t think I forgot about the second season of Great American Sh*t Show. I have a plan.

A lot of things have changed for me in the last week that made things more convenient for me to do the shows. I lost access to my home internet at the end of 2024. Since then I had been using my local library’s free Wi-Fi, which is not a safe place.

However, recently, I discovered that my prepaid plan (from Visible) not only offers me unlimited data, but gave me unlimited hotspot access. I the last couple of week, I was testing it out on my laptop in small ways and it allowed me to skip going to the library. Yet, my laptop is slow and old, it took forever to upload/download things on the hotspot or Wi-Fi.

Then another discovery happened: my old PC had Wi-Fi capability. Connecting it to my hotspot, I was able to update the operating system and many of my programs. It only took a little bit, but it is working smoothly. On a side note, I can run my Roku though the hotspot, which expands my television viewing to include Pluto TV, YouTube, and Paramount Plus.

I’m sure you are probably thinking “the fuck do I care about this?” If you are a longtime follower, you know how much this means to me.

I promise there is a plan

This is as close to normalcy that I can get. Just a little bit of freedom was all I asked for.

Nevertheless, I am posting this to let you know that things are happening here. I am planning to get my second episode of The Gen-Xer Pod out on Monday. My first episode of the rebooted The Lazy Geeks will come out on Wednesdays, just not sure if it is next week or the week after. But I plan on getting it out in March. Great American Sh*t Show will come out next Friday.

This, also, explains the lack of content on the blog. I was, also, closing up things from the other blog. I hope you all understand what is going down and why it’s taking time. We are on track to making a big return on the blog this week and with audio content starting next week.
