After a nearly two year break, The Lazy Geeks have returned with a new episode. Well, it isn’t the original line-up. Steven is back tired of hearing all the nonsensical stuff floating around online and is reported as news. When the show ended in 2022, there was a belief that everything had reached a status quo. Obviously, we were wrong. As the old adage goes, “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”
Steven will be taking a look at the news of the past week and discuss them. As well, as topics that seem to have gotten confused or putting out fake information for clicks. The concept will be a shorter version of the podcast, hopefully.
This week’s episode was more of a test run. All the information is relevant to this last week, and the main topic was just how much things changed in the last fifteen when they started the show.
Shownotes for “The More Things Change”:
News Brief:
‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Could Find New Life with ‘Day the Earth Blew Up’ Distributor (THR)
Threads will finally let everyone change their default feed (Engadget)
Apple TV+ is losing $1 billion every year, per report (9to5Mac)
California bill would force ISPs to offer 100Mbps plans for $15 a month (Ars Technica)
Musk tells Tesla employees to hold on to their stock amid protests (LA Times)
Discussion Topic:
Since 2010, many things change but stay the same
Going into next week’s show, the template will be more structured and scripted. Filling in more of what the concept of this show always was: cutting out that clickbait clutter. Enjoy the first episode of this reboot. We are keeping the same season numbering, but definitely starting over at one. Enjoy The Lazy Geeks: The More Things Change. We’ll see you for the next one.
