Welcome to the Rebooted Lazy Geeks

If you have been following the podcasts, doesn’t really matter which, you know that this has been my goal for a bit. Back on a self-hosted site. I had been doing the whole free blog space for a while. There had been a couple of times where I could’ve just paid for an upgrade and made it there. The honest truth was: I hated it there. With the help of a kind donation from Kyle, we are able to put into action the rebooted Lazy Geeks.

The rebooted Lazy Geeks idea isn’t just starting from where we left off. Since we had a self-hosted site, some things have changed. Adam is no longer with me on this. Not because he doesn’t want to, but funds are restricted that we can no longer record our shows. Plus, he has moved on from our original objective, and I moved in a different direction as well.

Not my studio

In case you haven’t been listening, there are already four episodes out of the revamped show. But, as I move into the fifth episode, the show is going to shift a bit of focus.

Instead of simply reporting popular news of the week, I will look deeper into the clickbait side of the story. Inform people why this shouldn’t be a surprise and maybe what the media is skipping over. To be honest, much of the news out there is repetitive.

Rebooted Lazy Geeks will go balls deep

The podcast will still offer stories that we covered or maybe someone else did. The main discussion topics will be focusing on story going on in real life, distractions, or stories that have strayed so far from the original reporting. As we used to say, “cutting through that clickbait clutter.”

Still have some work to go

it will not solely be on gaming, film, and comics. There is so much noise on the internet now that we can’t figure out how we got here. I will be working to give context to chaos. While social media is trying to make you think one way, there is more to it than that. As a character in a favorite show of mine once said, “if people are going to be mad, we should give them the facts on what to be mad about.”

The shaping of the blog and podcast(s) are coming into focus. As things go on, obviously, my reach will expand. I hope you will join us for the ride.
