With the official launch of The Lazy Geeks self-hosted blog, you were probably ready for a slew of stuff to happen. Honestly, I was so excited to get the old “dot-com” site launched, I wasn’t fully prepared for what was to come. I didn’t have much in the way of content that came over, which was kind of by design. That is why things are a bit scattered this week.
Some other things have come up this week that has shifted my focus. A potential employment opportunity is slated for the end of the week. There is some SEO things I need to do for the site. As well as write scripts for The Lazy Geeks podcast. Since I’m going with a new direction, I tossed out the old script and starting with a page one rewrite.
From your end, it would seem that I’m taking a bit of a coffee break. When in actuality, my mind is going in so many direction, I am not sure which direction I should be going.

If I was smart, I would’ve set up the site and been ready with a launch day. Full of blogs, podcasts, and some other stuff that I want to do. I’m going to be honest here – if you’ve followed me long enough – when have I ever done anything that wasn’t impulsive?
One thing for sure with this, I am not putting the cart before the horse. Again.
I was solely going to focus on one podcast and some written content that would give you a reason to come here. Now, all those things are still going to happen, but I am adding another podcast to the mix. It is nothing spectacular. Nothing that will revolutionize podcast but something that will keep me sane. Hopefully.
Things are a bit scattered for a reason
I have redone the artwork for the main show. Reason being is that it isn’t going to solely focus on tech, nerd culture, or comics. “Geek” has become sort of an umbrella term that pisses people off like Patton Oswald. I am a geek of a lot of things. I am a politics geeks. A history geek. There are a lot of things that I have a geek-like interest in.
Also, I have never believed in gatekeeping. Social media was designed to allow people’s voices to be heard. However, with companies like Google, Meta, Twitter, and others your voice will not have the same resonance unless you drop them a dime. In the world of Twitter, you will get paid if you pay to get in on it. It forces the worst in people to make that coin.

There is no paying for social media. Same as not chasing that clickbait. This is what is referred to as doing “the boring side of the internet”. There is no corporation behind me. Any money spent for this comes from me, unless I get some help from “listeners like you”.
My goal is to take the clickbait out of the news stories that run on social media. And tell the honest truth unlike mainstream media that tip toes around Daddy without pissing him off.
Starting Monday, I hope to have things back on track. I hope to have a new episode of The Lazy Geeks dropping episodes on our old Monday releases. The new show announcement will be coming out when I have the trailer ready for it. Already halfway through writing episode one.
I hope you will stick with me and keep checking in. I’ll see you all on Monday.
