Goodbye 2025 and See What’s Next

As 2025 comes to an end, all I can say is: thank God. This year started off with the fires in Los Angeles, which did and didn’t impact me and that month ended with the death of River. My dog of thirteen years. The year ends with me living in another state with my cat, attempting to start my life over again.

Much of the podcasts and web content ended in September when my water and power was turned off. Where I am now gives me some constants that I didn’t have at home. Stable internet. Hot and cold running water. Electricity and a sense of stability.

I have been in this new place for about a month. It has taken me that long to get comfortable in my new location and think about my next steps. 2025 has been one of those years that I wouldn’t like to live through again. Remember, back in 2021, I lost my brother and my other dog.

Goodbye 2025

As I look toward what’s next, there is something that I can do in the meantime: restart the shows. There are a lot of interests, hope, passions, and desires that were lost this year. It has been incredibly hard to restart them again. Yet through the kindness of others, I could have found escape in those interests. However, I chose to wallow in my depression until this opportunity came to me.

As I look forward to 2026, I will be bringing back the blog and the shows. The Lazy Geeks will come back once a week. However, the other shows will come back on an alternating basis. One week, Great American Sh*t Show and The Gen-Xer Pod will drop with it. The next week, Pop Culture Cinema and Apostate of Mind.

This will allow me time to focus more on individual shows per week. Not to mention, starting in January, I will return with blog posts. I hope you will be joining me on this new chapter. Have a happy new year and let’s see if 2026 can be any better than 2025. I’m not betting the farm on it.
