As a surprise that will come to no one, Meta has blocked links to the ICE List. I know, right? To be honest, I’m surprise it took this long. Mark Zuckerberg has blocked links in Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. If you haven’t heard of ICE List, it is a site that compiled lists of ICE agents names.
Dominick Skinner, the creator of ICE List, told WIRED that links to the website have been shared without issue for more than six months. “I think it’s no surprise that a company run by a man who sat behind Trump at his inauguration, and donated to the destruction of the White House, has taken a stance that helps ICE agents retain anonymity,” says Skinner.
It shouldn’t have come as a surprise that Meta would bend the knee to Trump. They have done it a million times before. They comply to the threats of Trump suing anyone that dox federal agents.
Meta Sides with Trump Over ICE List
It isn’t a surprise that Meta would ban linking the site on its platforms. Meta capitulated to the sum of $25 million for banning Trump after Jan 6. They removed fact-checking from their sites. Included adding Trump friendly people to their board of directors. So it isn’t a surprise that Meta chose to side with Trump.
Obviously, after what happened last weekend, they know people are amped up. However, this is another example of what Trump will do. He is looking for a reason to use marshal law. Some people are starting to see it. While bootlickers praise the murder, many normal people don’t. Given their tactics of arresting people, there is no law and order in it.
I am still surprised more minorities that experienced this before aren’t helping out. Particularly more African-Americans, Jews, and Japanese.
