Our New Social Media Attack

With a sudden burst of energy, I made a major decision: I brought back The Lazy Geeks social media. I know it will take some time to build a community. However, I feel like I can give some time to it and go from there. It wasn’t an easy decision. Running my own personal accounts don’t require me to dedicate any time to them. Except for Threads. Somehow in the matter of a couple of months, I amassed nearly 2100 followers.

Most other social media platforms don’t give anyone exposure unless you pay into their advertising. I understand why so many left them. One of the worst is Meta’s Facebook and Instagram. Both run the same algorithm which shows you more of influencers and celebrities and less of the people you want to see. YouTube is becoming that way too.

Using Facebook is always a difficult decision

The decision to go back to Facebook was a hard one. Many of the older pages of creators abandoned them at the end of last year. In fact, I found an article about the best representation of how to use a Facebook page. Once I went to the actual page, it’s still up but the creator opted to abandon it. Citing the same complaint everyone (including myself) have, none of their followers see their content.

Our Social Media Attack Will Be Precision

Much of what I’ll try to do in the future is build on what works. I won’t delete the accounts, but will work on ones seeing results. What is hilarious is that I am gaining traction on Twitter without paying anything. But, all our accounts will be found under the username: thelazygeeks. That includes Facebook, Twitter, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, and Insta.

We are still doing a fundraiser to pay bills.

And be sure to help us with our fundraiser. We are in need of paying some of our yearly bills. We would like to see if some of you out there can spare some change. As of my post on Monday, I will be bringing back the podcasts starting Monday with The Lazy Geeks. Then on Wednesday, I will drop the new podcast, The Gen X Construct.

Thanks again, everyone. See you on the other side.
