The Lazy Geeks: May Cause Shrinkage

Happy Memorial Day! Yes, we managed to get a new episode of The Lazy Geeks. It seems that I may be in the market for a new SD Card for my Zoom recorder. From what I can tell that seems to be the basic issue. Wish I had learned that before I recorded an entire episode of The Gen X Construct only to realize it was trash. Not the episode, but the recording. Three stories from last week’s episode made their way into May Cause Shrinkage. You will need to read the “douchebag of the week” to get the reference.

Some of the content we cover is price increases. Whenever the economy starts to take a turn for the worst, prices go up to compensate their end. Things like PlayStation Plus and Plex. Things like Twitter try to do something some think it’s to curb bots. However, we know that isn’t true. Elmo likes to remind us that there are other and better social media platforms. Which may be why many of those toxic posters are migrating to Threads.

I try something new this week, I add a review. Recently, I became aware of a new beta version of Mozilla Firefox free VPN. You can read the initial review here, but I updated the post within the podcast. Although, I think I will post an update on the actual blog. It is something that happened after an update, which is always the case.

There is a thank you to two kind people that made small donations to my birthday fund. It allowed me to do get me something special for myself and purchase a small cake. It was nice. While I live with a family, currently, it was still Oliver and I at the end of the day to celebrate.

Just a reminder that we are still conducting our fundraiser to pay some of our yearly bills. We managed to renew the domain for another year, but I would like to increase that. Also, in July, our web hosting is coming up. We want to move to another better hosting company and step up our game. Enjoy this week’s episode of The Lazy Geeks: May Cause Shrinkage, and see you next week.
