Facebook has been trash for years. When I jump on it, it reminds me of Twitter. Full of AI slop. Ads. Posts from people, celebrities, and channels that I don’t know. Nor do I subscribe to them. Fortunately, I have not experienced the AI slop of anti-Muslim content that has been blowing up recently. If I wanted to see that Facebook, I would just go to Twitter. It seems that Facebook loves anti-Muslim hate speech so much that they refuse to take it down. Even when it violates their own community guidelines.
If you go back a full four years to 2022, the Center for Countering Digital Hate released a damning report finding that social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok all failed to remove 90 percent of Islamophobic content from their platforms. Let’s be honest, in a post-Trump (at the time) world, white supremacy became a valid viewpoint.
Who would’ve thought the site got worse?
As Futurism reported over the weekend, “the social media platform is currently teeming with various forms of Islamophobic and anti-Arab content. It’s a noxious blend of propaganda and misinformation, with often AI-generated imagery whipping viewers into a bigoted frenzy; many who interact with the miasma of online hatred then post more intolerance, harassment, and calls for violence — both from the state and by private citizens — against Muslim Americans.”
Facebook loves anti-Muslim hate speech
While many boomers, Gen X, and Millennials, use Facebook to spread their bigoted beliefs, Facebook is moving toward the Twitter angle just to stay relevant. Pussy ass bitch white supremacist social media douchecanoe Jake Lang, recently shared an AI-generated flyer calling on his homosexual followers to wage a “crusader march on Dearborn” on Tuesday, August 18th.
The post calls on Lang’s followers to “stop [the] Islamification of America.” It, of course, features imagery of Catholic crusaders charging at Arabs with swords drawn — a not-so-subtle reference to the medieval crusades. Some of the comments to the post are what you expect from family’s that dipped in their own gene pool.
One post saying that “it’s time for hunting” hasn’t been removed a day after it was reported. Neither has a comment on Futurism’s own post calling Muslims “f**kin rag headed pedophiles.” Again, after being reported, Facebook has not removed the comment.
This shouldn’t be surprising. I mean, this isn’t getting a pass, but this is what social media is doing – on purpose. As we mentioned earlier in the day, X/Twitter has been pushing ragebait to boost engagement. It seems platforms that are no longer relevant do this to push on advertisers. We may have less active users, but the users we have are very active. It’s all a money game.
Much OnlyFan models that peak, they eventually turn right-wing in hopes of getting new subscribers. This is what Facebook, as well as Twitter, are attempting to do to stay relevant. Which strikes me as funny, for people that hate Zuckerberg, they love using his site to spread this stuff.
