As you may have heard, there is a long-awaited sequel to Devil Wears Prada coming this year. They released the trailer some twenty years after the original. One of the best things is that everyone seems to have come back. However, it seems that her love interest from the original film is not returning. Which is a good thing. I never really liked her boyfriend or friends from the original. It always seemed that they never really supported her in her job.
I love Meryl Streep in that role of Miranda. Seeing her back is amazing. Knowing her dislike for sequels, the fact that she is starring in this gives me hope. Of course, Stanley Tucci back is chef’s kiss. One of the hilarious aspects is that Miranda has no idea who Andy is. We all know she knows who she is but has to make her seem beneath her. Which is perfectly on brand.

The biggest special surprise was seeing Emily Blunt returning. The reaction to Miranda not knowing that Andy ever worked for her. Of course, there is a natural fear that it may suck. For me, I look forward to seeing that cast together again.

There is a rumor that Sydney Sweeny is in it, which is a drag. I am not a huge Sweeny fan, but if she has a small role – I get it. While I do not think she’s a strong actress, especially up against Meryl, Anne, and Emily, but I get it. However, you say that online, some guys come at you like they’re dating.
