When I began discussing about the direction of the blog and podcasts, I thought I had a plan. The major problem is that things keep changing. Ideas spark a renewed interest. I had even started a new blog in that interest, but it all comes back to the branding. I love this brand. Naturally, I wouldn’t have stuck to it for fifteen years if I didn’t. So, here comes The Lazy Geeks Reboot Trailer.
After 450-plus episodes of debunking the same content, I am growing bored of the news. It’s all about AI, misinformation, and tech companies playing monopoly with real life. Even comic and gaming news is not even interesting anymore. However, I would still love an outlet to talk about things that I see as a symptom of a bigger problem. That is where the “reboot” of the show comes into play.
What is changing is the news recap. I think I am done with that, at least, in general. Much of what will remain will be the “main topic” portion of the show. Instead of touching on it, I will be working on making it a deep dive into a topic.
The Lazy Geeks Reboot Has Been Coming
Some of the stuff I have lined up will be about the Epstein bypass. How MAGA made this the cornerstone of their identity. Once it started to show problems for Trump, now they are okay with rich, old men diddling kids. Even more so, some pundits are making rules of what “pedophilia” actually is. It is the whole Clinton “definition of is is” all over again.
Other topics will include incel culture, social media being our demise, and how AI was the latest tech scam. A lot of these things will be spawned by something I saw or read about. Yes, I do have some thoughts and much of it is the old game in a new paint job.
