For those of you that aren’t in the know, D23 happened yesterday. D23 is Disney’s own version of Comic-Con. This has been a downside to their appearances at the San Diego Comic-Con, because they hold many things back. Much of it use to blow the walls down of Hall H. Now, they bring in some teasers but much of it is left for the D23 event a month later. The Avengers Doomsday Doctor Doom trailer was something that was mentioned from Comic-Con.

Now, it is released for the entire world to see. Not to mention, general ticket sales for the movie is happening right now. This made sense to get the hype going. But in this trailer, we get more of the Doctor Doom storyline. Some idiots on the internet will get an answer from which universe (or timeline) Doctor Doom is from.

He was always a Fantastic Four villain. So it made perfect sense that he would be from the recent Fantastic Four: First Steps universe. Of course, Sue knew him. She knows almost every dude on the planet. We get his general backstory and samples of his power. Raising the OG Sentinals from the ground. Looks amazing.

My theory is that his role will tie into the Avengers Secret Wars film via Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Wars series from 2015. This is how Marvel tied their Ultimate Universe into their main 616 universe. Doom was attempting to negotiate with the Beyonder. This is what I feel they will hint at, but it won’t be a direct adaptation, like we saw in Civil War.

I have been hyped for this movie since it was announced. The Comic Bros will shit on it because that’s all they like to do. But nevertheless, I will see this in theaters and am looking forward to it.
