We were teased with many smaller teaser teasers at the beginning of the year to build up for the next Avengers movie. Some were saying that they needed to build up after some losers at the box office. Whatever. This is a next level Avengers movie. There was already build up for this movie. Bringing back the OG X-Men, as well as bringing in The Fantastic Four. With about four months until the release date, Marvel has released the official the Avengers Doomsday trailer.

Like some of the trailers before, there is a singular voice-over giving an ominous speech with clips of all the (or mostly all) of the cast. Shang-Chi and Gambit have a fight?! What?!

It would seem that Thor is behind getting people together and bringing everyone up to speed. It appears that some of the OG X-Men will meet up with the oncoming Avengers, which is better than I could have imagined. Then, of course, that image of a long-haired Steve Rogers showing that he’s still worthy.

And for those of you that have to comment about how much you hate this stuff. Save it. We get it. You’re cool. You’re edgy. It’s exasperating. Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18. It’ll be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027, so expect some kind of cliffhanger.
